Full AF operation with the HD DGX 1.4x is possible using a lens with an aperture of f4 or brighter (except Canon EF 50mm f1.8). Get In Touch. Key Features Get in touch! Barrel Length: 25mm.
My original Kenko 1.4x which I bought over 3 years ago and had given me very good service was recently damaged beyond repair. I had to replace it, and with original/other makes converters being more expensive (and unknown in use, etc), I decided to replace it with the exact same model.
Itself, the converter is a "fit and forget" addition to my outfit.
Very little degradation of the image, did research before choosing this one.
However, one anomaly is - instead if having to increase ones exposure to compensate for the tele-converter by around one stop, I have found I have to decrease by one stop, so lets say f8 without, then f16 with - wierd. This example applies to both my Nikon cameras D500 and D610, also have this model for my Canon 80D, same results (same on a 7D Mk11 I had as well).
Go for it.
I watched a few YouTube reviews of teleconverters; this is the first one I have ever owned; and the Kento teleplus 1.4x HD DGX teleconverter seems to be highly regarded by several of the reviewers.
On that basis I decided to purchase one and although I have nothing to compare it against, I am satisfied with its performance.
I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a teleconverter.
