Okay
The box and DVD player were damaged. I was able to fix the DVD player myself. When I bought it it never mentioned it may not be suitable as a gift. Only after I contacted them with the problem did they edit their information to state it wasn't. I understand they're second hand but they should be in full working order in my opinion and this only is because I sorted it myself.
