Last of the line
The Volvo v70 in each of its guises has always been an excellent load lugger and this final version (2016) carried on the tradition. I have owned two V70s in the past, both of which performed perfectly to very high mileages, this XC70 is the four wheel drive version with the slightly raised suspension when compared with the V70s. Some reviews have suggested that the extra suspension travel leads to a poor road holding experience - this is not my experience, even coming from an Audi A6 S Line. The car is very comfortable, it rides the road with ease, even over pot holes and the poor surfaces that are so common on the more minor roads these days. Being the last of the line, the car comes with just about every extra you can imagine, even the city safe system that makes 'deliberate accidents' a waste of time for the would be fraudster. This is not a racing car, nor a sports car, but it's performance is excellent even in automatic form. All in all, it is what it is and does what it was designed to do exactly as it should.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fitting adhesive on the rear windows is totally useless!!!!!
I followed the fitting instructions to the letter even brought extra alcohol wipes to make sure everything was clean and then dry, Whittin a few days the rear offside deflector had disappeared, as soon as I realised I opened the near side window on my drive and that just fell into my hand, I haven’t even bothered to put it back on as I know it will fall off again. The front are ok but as I was going to be in the south of France for 6 months I wanted to be able to crack open all the windows to let the heat dissipate as the car has dark leather seats. Ok but not great.
These were bought so that the windows could be left slightly open in the hot weather. There were no written instructions and I assumed they would fit perfectly, they didn't. The ones for the rear windows were trouble free. The front ones were trouble, when initially fitted the windows wouldn't fully close and there were loud cracks from both windows. Immediately, the deflectors were removed and upon inspection it was noticed that they were damaged with pieces of plastic missing also the windows would not now fully close - panic stations! By repeatedly operating the windows they eventually closed properly - panic over. Approximately 30mm had to trimmed off the deflectors and with the help of superglue they fitted reasonably well. The windows work normally but there is obvious wind noise when driving, with the windows closed naturally.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Be afraid
The gap in the doorframe that an XC70 window glass slides up and down in is precisely the same width as the glass. That's one of the reasons why the car is quiet inside. These wind deflectors mean the window motors have to work really hard to get the glass to shut properly......on the driver front window this has resulted in breaking the "one touch" feature. They also increase wind noise at speed. £30 down to experience and four bits of grey plastic in the recycling bin...........Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Crap fit
Got this them for my car I have two Volvo XC70 one an 2006 and one 2007 item which they say is for 2007 on don’t fit my car at all even tho one of them is 2007 looks like they sent me ones for a later v70 which started on a 57 plate which is early 2008. Not to mention the fact the clips that come with it can’t even hold it in place soon as u drop the window pulls the hole thing out the frame . Company trying to tell me iv got to by more of them then don’t bother to reply to my mail very disappointed with it so means iv got to go buy more else we’re

Unhelpful instructions
The product seems great, looks fabulous, good price, but fitting instructions are minimal and useless. When I fitted them the windows would not go up, they hit the deflector and went back down again. I am going to have to take them to the garage and pay them to fit them for me so I might as well have bought them from the garage in the first place. Volvo wind deflectors
The item arrived on time however they did not fit either of the two front windows correctly. The rear deflectors fitted the rear with no issue. Windows dont close straight away
