It works for what I needed it to do. If you want to connect a hard drive, purchase the E4200. Otherwise, you will not be disappointed.

Since we installed this router our internet connectivity has failed in a daily basis. This router replaced an old Belkin router, which we believe was obsolete. To our surprised, the old one surpassed the new one hands down. We also bought a wireless extender and adapter from the same brand. Again, no improvement at all. It may be our house, hands, the refurbish condition of these items, or who knows what, but we will not try Linksys technology again. On the other side, the orders went timely and smoothly, and the packaging was excellent; no complaint in that side.

The router has worked without dropping a packet since I first set it up. It was very easy to install and continues to handle several hard wire and wireless devices at the same time without problem including a voIp phone system that my other router would not process. A little advice: make sure your modem performance matches the Cisco router to maximize speed and efficiencies. I wish the router came with a dispersion map so I could see how the internal antenna sends out the wireless signal. The range does not match my prior router - I think if I could find out more about the signal pattern, I could get better distance and strength to distant wireless devices. I shouldn't have to move it all over the room to find the sweet spot. I haven't used the "cloud" options due to concerns about Cisco user monitoring and compliance controls they have devised. I need more clarification. For the price, this is a killer router. If you can look past a few annoyances like maximum placement, you will love it. All the controls are easily accessed on your computer when you install the device. Enjoy.Read full review
Performs great with 6/1/2020 version of DD-WRT. Note that the 5GHz radio isn't supported by DD-WRT for this model. As I'm using this for a standalone router with a separate access point, that isn't an issue for me. No problems reaching speeds advertised by ISP up to 200mbps

I found that the purchase of the refurbished EA2700 was an excellent value because of its cost and my assumption that a refurbished piece of equipment will get an INDIVIDUAL QUALITY REVIEW absent from large scale manufacturing which are done as a SAMPLING of LOTS for QUALITY REVIEW. I hope this explains why I think this is a great value as well as a purchase with HIGH CONFIDENCE that this likely to be one of the BEST of this kind!

Very happy with the product. It performs as expected and was easy to setup. I've come to rely on Cisco products at home and my office. Their ease of use, quality, durability and value exceed the competition. I espeacially like the iphone app, and have used it several times now. The guest feature is also very nice. I can now let friends and family access the WIFI without giving up my password and having to change after they leave.
Had one that I set up on bridge mode to increase Wi-Fi coverage in my house. Bought this second one for the far end of my house. I have it running bridge mode with a cat6 cable back to my U-verse router. Works great for Wi-Fi Accra and I plugged some devices in directly as well.

I've had this unit for over a year now and it has performed well even though it is used. I have a small house so I get good signals for all four devices I use through it. Bought enough one as a backup, but found I need to set it up again. Even though the same unit ... not plug and play.

This was sold as used but working properly. It had to be reset or would lock up approx. every hour or so. Stick with netgear. The wifi performance was never above 22Mbps and that is with a 802.11 N laptop that is dual band. And an AC card that retros to dual N. All the Linksys gear I tried in the last week was subpar. E1200, EA2700, EA6400. This EA2700 touted gigabit LAN but would/could only achieve 26Mbps of throughput on a gigabit model with 10' of Cat6 E. What a crock! The netgear AC1600 is far superior to anything linksys offers. Setup was default and still kicked linksys' butt and all the features have to be turned off to even get above .2 Mbps YES .2!!! Google it.
