I have had my original brass Feadog tin whistle for 30yrs and it was time to replace it. I bought this whistle because it was reviewed as being slightly heavier than some others and I thought it might have the weight and feel of my original one. This is a good whistle, to me it doesn't feel heavy just very nice and sturdy in my hands. It has a nice tone on the low and high notes alike. I'm no expert but I can see this whistle suiting beginners and more experienced players. If you want it to stay really shiny around the finger holes then you will need to clean the area with a soft cloth after each time you have played it. Personally I like the Feadog make of tin whistles and I really like this one. It is good value for money, is well made and should last. Well my old one by Feadog has lasted over 30yrs.Read full review

Feels nice and heavy to hold although I find harder to play cleanly than my older poly whistles. Great price though.
