An early release of the AEC/ Orion body combination. It is the standard 2 part diecast held together by steel pins with plastic glazing and seating unit. Livery application is good with plenty of tampo printed crests and signage BUT no reg nos. Fleet number is 885 so should have 885WJ as its reg. As with all EFE models there is a generic model on which the livery is applied so it looks like the desired vehicle but can lead to details such as fuel filler cap on the wrong side and panel beadings not being in the right place. The real 885 sported 6 roof mounted vents but these do not exist on the model which is probably the worst omission after no reg nos! Several other chassis types are available with the Orion body but not the “tin front” Leyland which had a taper to the front of the upper deck. Corgi OOC range cater for those as well as sometimes duplicating EFE ‘s AEC models. One last item with this model is that the real vehicle was not a Regent V but a very late Regent III ! Later Sheffield vehicles were also to the longer 30Ft chassis lengthRead full review
