Good but needs a few personal tweeks to get the best results.
Ballast flows reasonably well as long as you continue to tap the applicator as you move it along the track. It does not handle dusty ballast at all well. I found it deposited too much ballast so I blocked up part of the slots (including the whole centre slot) with sellotape otherwise I found it over deposits. Would be better if the hopper was larger and the wheel flanges deeper to keep the wheels on the track. But overall it does a much neater job of laying ballast in a shorter time than you could ever do by hand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not much good.
Sorry to say but this does not do what is says on the box. The ballast blocks up continuosly. Have to keep pushing the ballast through the feeder. It does put it down as the makers claim but will not flow freely through the slots in the bottom of the feeder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
