Great for making your own Chalk paint
This is how I use it: 2 parts emulsion 1 part calcium carbonate. 1 or 2 coats, very light rub down with fine sandpaper, and finish off with soft wax or acrylic varnish (mat is available) Wonderful results just as good as expensive brands. Example: old bureau transformed very cheaply with very little effort.

Not very good for Chalk paint
I don't think there's actually much wrong with the product for its intended original purpose but as chalk for chalk paint it's not really suitable it gives a very rough finish and doesn't adhere very well well nowhere near as good as "proper chalk paint" it also chips very easily and even using damp sanding block it's hard to get a smooth finish. makes cheap chalk paint but takes more coats more hard work more sanding etc so it's really a false economy xVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
