Enriching for sensitive skin
In the past I have always ended up with razor burn when trying to get a close wet shave from gels, foams etc. The results I am finding from Proraso shave cream are a total contrast to any product I have used in the past. Am getting excellent results and face feels smooth and nourished after shaving with the cream. Also used to experience “breakouts” in my skin, especially in the chin area. The cream appears to have helped in this respect also. Was recommended by Paul at "labarbiera" to use the pre-shave cream and look at the Proraso videos on YouTube. Slick, rich, effective and non Irritating - with a unique sandalwood fragrance
I have all three Proraso shaving soap bowls, Sandalwood, Menthol and Sensitive, and although they are good products, and the sandalwood fragrance was the best of the three, I find that they dry out quickly on my face as I shave, which has led to them being relegated to the 'rarely used' shelf. I never have drying out issues with shaving cream, and when I saw these advertised by La Barbiera at such a bargain price, I ordered some. Boom. A totally different shaving experience than the Proraso bowl soap. Applying about half an almond shape to either cheek, and massaging it in prior to lathering up with a brush, provides a thick slick lather with enough left on the brush for a three pass shave with great results, there is no need to use a lather bowl to build up soap body. I've used it now with Bic Platinum, Treet 7 Days, Euromax, Lord Platinum and Polsilver blades with each providing an effortless, irritation free DFS, leaving an exceptional sandalwood fragrance on the skin. If you are a dedicated wet shaver who uses soap/cream, this offer from LaBarbiera is a no brainer, buy it with confidence. If you are new to wet shaving and still use tins of aerated foam etc, buy a brush, buy these three, and take your shaving effectiveness and comfort up a couple of notches. Easy to use with the great smell of sandalwood.
Proraso red shaving cream is a glycerine based shave soap with the strong manly smell of sandalwood. All you have to do is dampen you shaving brush, squeeze about 1" of cream on the brush tips and apply directly to face. Within seconds of applying the cream it turns into a thick shaving lather, it's as simple as that. The lather has a good consistency and provides adequate lubrication on the skin but it's not quite got the slickness of a tallow based soap.
