Excellent scripts, casting and acting
I am not a great fan of US crime series and only watched an episode of NCIS on Sky to please a visiting relative. This led me to watch further episodes and I was soon drawn in by the characters who were amusing, engaging and generally plausible. However, catching episodes out of order was confusing and frustrating, especially when it was not possible to find the episode immediately following a "cliff-hanger". I therefore bought this back catalogue. Viewing early episodes with a much younger and slightly different cast was slightly strange at first but this feeling soon dissipated. It became clear how much the characterizations have been developed by scriptwriters and actors over time watching these early episodes helps make sense of later ones. The series can be brutal and its occasional portrayal of the end justifying the means is morally dubious. However, it is excellent, fast-moving adult entertainment and a lot more three-dimensional than Midsomer Murders - which I also enjoy but from an entirely different perspective!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The NCIS program is great. This boxset however is the folding cardboard type, where you slide the dvds in and out of a cardboard slot. I tryed to watch it , but dvd's jumps, freezes, skips etc. I looked at the surface of each dvd, Quite a few already had scratches/scuffs on them due to the cardboard packaging (this was a brand new boxset). I checked other sites, and I see other reports of this boxset dvds not playing right, so I had to return for refund, wont risk getting another one that does not play. I will lookout for and buy the separate series that hold the dvds in proper plastic dvd case's instead.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great, interesting show
I love the show, the cases are always interesting and the chemistry between the characters is fun to follow. Even though every episode is dark the show brings some humorous touches to conversations between characters which lifts the mood. The box set arrived in fine condition, the corners were a little dented or pressed in which is to be expected. The product was shipped from the UK to Sweden so the handing of the parcel could be the cause for this. To sum up I'm happy with the product, it's a great addition to my DVD-collection and I look forward to watching all 8 seasons.
