The Onkyo TX-SR309 5.1-channel home theatre receiver provides users with distinct audio quality in addition to allowing them to centralise their various media device controllers to a single location. This Onkyo home cinema receiver also includes the Theatre-Dimensional technology that allows them to work with variable speaker configurations and still distribute audio in such a way to provide an immersive surround sound experience. This capability is further complemented by another proprietary technology, Cinemafilter, that analyses the soundtrack of an ongoing movie to normalise it and ensure realistic output through attached speakers. This Onkyo home cinema receiver has integrated Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD decoders for high-resolution audio. A range of input options are available on this 5.1-channel home theatre receiver including three HDMI ports and a USB slot. Apple product users should appreciate the fact that, with the appropriate cable, the Onkyo TX-SR309 supports the docking of compatible iPod models.
