Better than older version, but not as durable.
I absolutely love the new design not only because of the improved fit, but also the vastly improved sound, esp. in terms of accuracy and mids and lows (which we need to hear as drummers). They are not overly bass-y either. Best option in this price point. HOWEVER, this new version is far less durable that the original. There is a problem with the wiring that starts to arise if you accidentally tug on the cable. But there is a fix for this that can be found on YuTbe that is very easy, and basically rectifies the problem (even if just temporarily), allowing you to enjoy these for years.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Decent.
I was expecting these to act like the Vic Firth noise cancelling cans I already had except with the added benefit of it being a pair of headphones as well. Unfortunately they were not like that, mainly in the way that they fit over the ears, but all in all they are pretty decent. Should work well for in the studio. Great for drummers!
Honest review here. I’ve been using these headphones for a week now and I gotta say buying these things has made me love drumming even more. They dampen the sound just enough to where you can hear your drums and music perfectly. They even somehow make my kit sound better with them on. Yeah sound quality isn’t anything compared to a $200 pair of headphones, but for drumming they’re perfect. So definitely overall a 5 star buy. Plus Frank Ocean wore these exact pair of headphones live a few months back so you know they gotta be good haha

What I was hoping for
These are great for drummers. They don't particularly "look" comfortable, but I can play with these literally 2 hours without feeling like I'm wearing headphones, or my ears getting sore. Unlike others I've tried, I don't have to take these off periodically just to air out my sweaty ear. These are great. Just what I wanted.
These are really good phones. I wanted QUIET non noise cancelling over the ear headphones and these really fit the bill. They work great at low volume, no ambient noise. They are so quiet when you put them on that they work like any good ear protection muffs by themselves. You don't have to crank the volume to over ride any room noise and they are comfortable. I avoided buying these for a while because I assumed they’d be cheap and low quality. So I snagged a pair cheap on eBay and wish I had done so sooner. Great for recording on a small table top recorder or computer. You can monitor the sound through the system rather than hearing what’s in the room.
