WD green drives have been criticised over the years, but have improved massively. The last of the breed (green have now been taken over by blue 5400rpm series) offer good performance for a slower spinning drive, and this also offers a cooler and quieter running drive. Only thing to note is that the heads park after 8 seconds of idle time by default. This means the 300,000 rated load/unload cycle warranty limit can be exceeded very quickly. You can remedy this by using the WDIDLE3 tool, which enables you to either increase to 5 minutes or disable completely. I've used many of these drives and highly recommend them.
