Excellent historically informed performances of Beethoven symphonies
Reference recording of Beethoven's 9 symphonies and 1 (or more) of his overtures on period instruments. Immerseel's performance highlights horns, winds and percussion as Beethoven appears to have intended. The sound quality of this recording is excellent. For one who seeks to hear the music performed as Beethoven may have intended - these are a must have.
