The attractiveness of the disc is heightened by the inclusion of the charming Concertone; it is an earlier work than the Concertante and does not contain that work's profundity, however it is a lovely, fresh example of Mozart's youthful inventiveness and is good to have alongside the other violin works.
Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante is a delectable masterpiece and the Concertone is very good also. This recording has been around for more than 30 years and has been highly praised by a multitude of reviewers. I agree with them. This is a great (live) performance, very well recorded.
