Should be better known
Since it was a performance by Tamas Vasary on the radio decades ago that introduced me to Beethoven's 4th piano concert, it occurred to me that it might be possible now with the help of the Internet to find a recording of that work by him. My search ended in vain, but in the process I came across this particular 3-CD box (along with a companion 3-CD volume by Vasary performing other pieces by Chopin) and duly placed an order. As a devotee of Artur Rubinstein, I have to say that I am delighted to add these fine recordings to my collection and wholeheartedly recommend them. Maybe a recording will turn up one day featuring Beethoven's 4th too...
