Additional InformationCALENDAR GIRLS creators Nigel Cole and Tim Firth take on the ruthless world of English high-society weddings, in comedy THE WEDDING VIDEO. For his brother Tim's (Robert Webb) impending nuptials to Saskia, Raif (Rufus Hound) decides to make a video of the event as a present. However, as the preparations start to take place, he begins to realise how cut-throat the Cheshire set Tim's marrying into really is. With unwanted advice coming at them from every angle and preparations going into overdrive, Saskia and Tim start to wonder whose wedding it is. Seen through the lens of RaifÆs camera, this mockumentary style film exposes the sheer scale of the wedding industry today.
ReviewsDigital Spy - Director Nigel Cole (who made his name with CALENDER GIRLS and more recently helmed MAD IN DAGENHAM) has a keen grasp of female neuroses and shows the funny side without making them look too foolish., Cine-vue - Hound and Punch's performances who, when given the chance to act, (as opposed to buffoon around in a series of 'comic' situations) shine. Hound gives an impassioned performance towards the conclusion of the film that shows he is no cheap comic but a credible actor.
