Classical songs and instrumentals presented in a wonderfully relaxed and excellent manner.
This is a superb collection of songs sung by a singer from the classical tradition who is backed by a selact group of musicians, and much of which is guitar based to create a wonderfully pleasing sound. The album features a 'stripped back' simple version of Gaspar Sanz' "Canarios" which is the reason why I bought the album. With bargain prices for used CD's here on eBay it makes it worthwhile to purchase albums like this, where you hear one track and decide to purchase on that basis, making the remainder of the album a bonus in which to explore, Magdalena Kozena is a wonderful singer who simply enjoys bringing, here, a selection of her favourite songs from her childhood and onwards - accompanied by a select and small group of musicians the entire 'package' wors exceedingly well.
