....still the spark of invention ....and sadness...still Mozart.
Good recordings from an older era. Comparing the Hagen current ( 2017) recording of the k387 Quartet with the the 1991 recording shows the older recording with less emotion , less invention, than the current 2017 recording. Tastes have changed, as has the recording quality , with the modern version better than the older 1991 recordings. Overall however...still the occasional spark of sadness that makes the Mozart quartets so appealing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
