What is Citric Acid Citric Acid is a naturally occurring weak organic acid commonly found in lemons, oranges, limes and other citrus fruit. Citric acid is also produced as a by product of the citric acid cycle during metabolism in living organisms. It’s also a natural preservative and added to food producing an acidic or sour taste.

Effective descaler
It was the best value Citric Acid I could find. I used it to descale my Espresso maker and it worked like a charm. Excellent result. Make sure your Espresso maker is OK with citric acid before you try it. Some manufacturers will void a warranty if you don't use their specified brand but there are plenty of good guides on You Tube.
