Legendary Shure performance at such a reasonable price. Solid bass, well defined transients, almost flat in response and not too coloured top or bottom. Isolation is quoted at up to 30db and I think the specs add up in use. Comfort is always a concern and the SE's earbuds are not without their issues but on a typical night's gig of three sets with breaks, taking them out for 15 to 20 minutes gives enough relief from any discomfort. Keep yer lugs (ears) wax free n super clean as the bud tips can become clogged quickly. That's it - a great set of in-ear headphones that I would recommend to anybody needing good sound reproduction and noise isolation.

I believe they were not worth the value as they were fake batch or a really bad batch. The leads broke so easily it was bad quality and sound was bad sand left ear piece would work. It was a few months ago and within two weeks it broke. Both leads and the volume control and to skip ahead or rewind did not work. The cables brokenand ear price split open after a month and left ear piece had no sound. Disappointed.

If sound quality is all you care about in the pair of 'phones and you're on a budget, look no further. Sure, you don't get fancy packaging and the cables are cheap PVC. They're not particularly light or comfortable either. That being said, they are supplied with a good range of ear tips to suit different sized ears, so it is possible to get they fitting reasonably well. However, where these 'phones really excel is in how they sound: they are very good indeed, and produce a level of detail and accuracy that, frankly, I didn't realise was possible at this price point (N.B, I'm comparing them with £2k studio monitor speakers) Bass is a little over-blown but it seems churlish to criticise because everything else is so well presented. What's most pleasing to me is the lack of distortion at the top end, which results in a very clear and open sound. The only possible downside here is that they're ruthless with less-than-perfect recordings!Read full review

I wanted an audiophile level in-ear headphone which keeps external noise intrusion to a minimum - without spending £100's. The SE215's do the job very well. The depth and clarity of the sound is great, and they sit in the earlobe very well (although getting used to them, including wrapping the cable around my ear, was interesting!). They come with six different sized and types of buds (and you can get other styles online if these don't work for you). And the price ( 40% off RRP) was brilliant...

I have previously had a pair of Shure SE112s which served me well until my daughter got hold of them and refused to give them back! Had a good look at alternatives from various top brands but in all comparisons, the Shoe SE215s were best in class. initially they may be slightly odd to put on but if you have not had these kind of earphones you will get used to them.
