In every sense a heavyweight
I have a recent MacBook Air. It's a good piece of kit and easy to take places, but it wasn't beefy enough to do all the things I wanted. I needed more memory, more storage, more horsepower... I wanted a MacBook Pro, in other words. This machine is rather exactly what I was pining for. It's a Mac, so of course it took almost no time at all for me to set it up with everything I needed, transfer my mailbook and so forth. It runs High Sierra without a murmur of complaint. In use it's so much better and more usable than my wife's Windows lappy that it's as though it's out of a different century - though in fact it's older than her beast - just faster, more sophisticated, easier to use by far... I could go on. Negatives? My Apple Watch won't unlock it. It uses battery much faster than my MacBook Air. It feels as though carrying about makes up for the trips to the gym I never take. It occasionally won't find my iPhone 8 as a WiFi hotspot (though I can always connect via Bluetooth). And that's it. Excellent piece of kit at a very decent price. I'm a pretty darned happy customer.

Don’t buy this
The product is not grade A, came with dents and scuffs, the top case was bent and the screen was not high-res anti-glare, the battery cycle count was not low as advertised. I would strongly advise against buying.
