THX Select2 Plus certification means the Onkyo TX-NR818 7.2-channel home theater receiver delivers sound that recreates the true movie experience. Surround sound features including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio provide the high-resolution necessary for Blu-ray movies. Onkyo's Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT) along with a high-current power supply allow this Onkyo receiver to deliver dynamic, clean sound with sharp thunderous bass at all listening levels. The Onkyo TX-NR818 uses the HQV Vida video processor for upconverting analog signals to 1080p in combination with a Marvell Qdeo that cleans up the final video stage signal. Each video input source to this 7.2-channel home theater receiver is independently calibrated using Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) video calibration for significantly improved picture quality on every channel. In stereo, this Onkyo receiver delivers 135 watts per channel from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with less than 0.1 percent THD. Input connectivity includes eight HDMI, two component video, and three each optical and coaxial digital audio. Ethernet and USB ports are also provided. This Onkyo receiver measures 17.13 inches wide by 7.81 inches high by 18.75 inches deep and weighs 40.3 lbs.Product Identifiers

I set it for 9.2 with pre out onkyo 282 external amp. I run boss 601iv, 301iv, 201iv, klipsh rs 42ii rear surround infinity high end center, klipsh bookshelf high speakers and jbl 750 watt powered subs. This thing is clear and thunderous! !!!!!!
