The Audioengine N22 integrated amplifier is made to hook up with your iPhone and iPod, allowing you to listen to favorite songs and share them without headphones. These speakers sit on any desk, small table, or shelf without taking up a lot of space and turn a small device into a big music player. Each channel on the Audioengine N22 integrated amplifier offers 22 watts RMS and it has frequency response of 20 hertz-22 kilohertz. It is wireless-ready and streams your music wirelessly from your computer or smartphone. This amp has a very simple analog volume control, a USB port, and a detachable cord. It has one simple volume control with an integrated on/off switch and that’s it, no other knobs or switches to knock or confuse you. Not only does the Audioengine N22 integrated amplifier have great acoustics, but it is also environmentally-friendly and user-friendly. It has a power-saving idle mode to conserve energy when not in use, as well as a variable preamp output. The Audioengine N22 will give you surprisingly loud and clear sound for such a small device and will not only turn your iPhone into a stereo system, but it will just as easily connect to your desktop and laptop to do the same. There is no software required to hook it up to your PC or Mac, nothing to install, and no settings to change. Just plug it in and blast your tunes. There are two standard audio inputs for the speakers, an RCA and a mini-jack connector, so you can plug in your computer, smartphone, or audio device directly via a cable. The versatile N22 can be connected to a subwoofer too. You can also use it as a charger, connecting your audio device or smartphone through it, which is really handy if you have been blasting tunes for a while. Lil amp with guts....
Initially compared it with much older Super T amp but this amp is a different animal. I used with existing speakers with excellent results and then used it with older vintage Platinum Audio Studio One speakers with a low 83 dbw efficiency and was surprised that it produced very decent volume usually reserved for amplifiers with 50-100 watt output, Will probably use it with other low efficiency speakers for travel use.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good amplifier for computer speakers
I've been using this product about a month now and I can't complain at all. Great amp for desktop system
The N22 provides clean sound at all volume levels. I had considered it's much less expensive counterparts but I knew from my experience in car audio that spending the money on a quality amp was the key to great sound. My desktop setup consists of a Dell 27" monitor, the N22, a pair of Micca MB42X's and a Dayton 6.5" 60 watt powered sub. Simply put, it sounds fantastic.
