AS I have the total collection of Last of the Summer Wine this is a great prequel.
Very entertaining , well acted and it is interesting to see the original settings in and around Holmfirth. The story lines and characters are typically old fashioned and most enjoyable in their innocence compared to the modern day scenarios which usually involve foul language and violence in large doses. It is such a shame more of this type of entertainment is not produced today.

If you are a fan of "Last Of The Summer Wine", then you need to see "First Of The Summer Wine". It a great start to introduce you to the characters that you know and love. You get to see them as young adults trying to make a living,(lino. salesman), to dealing with the opposite sex. Great show!

I watched the last of the summer wine, and the characters are great, but i always wondered what they would of been like as young men and women, First of the summer wine, is fantastic, you get to see them as never before, experience them facing new challenges as youngsters, but still retaining the fun and laughter as the old show did.
