Perfect blade replacement for my Flymo
A well built replacement blade for my Flymo. Steel is very well finished to prevent corrosion. I only had to grind a finer edge to the cutting surfaces because the edges as supplied were ground to be safe to handle. Once done, the cut to the lawn was fantastic.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not as good as the original blade.
After four years of use I thought I detected some loss of sharpness on my flymo blade and I was aware it might be dangerous to continue to use it for too long (My Dad once had one break on him - but that was a petrol flymo and got very heavy use)...so I bought this one to replace it. From other reviews I was expecting great things, but I was disappointed; the shape is obviously different, but so is the thickness and hardness of the steel, and the original has an enamelled coating. On the new one only the end tips have a chamfer, on the old it went the full length, and I found cutting more work. After two cuts on an unchallenging lawn there were already notches in the cutting edges worse than the old blade had sustained in 4 years, so I took it off, sharpened up the old one and am using that again now. If I get another replacement I'll go for a flymo original.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A cut above the competition
Bought this item with some reservations (price compared with buying an original blade & shape of cutting surface compared with original blade), I needn't have worried item performed to a very good standard (grass was wet). Cuts it
Got this after the previous oem part finally gave up the battle. I didn't expect much as it's only a third of the cost of the real item but it works just fine.
