Superb lock!
Looking for a replacement lock for my shed I wanted something that was better quality and more security, after searching I came upon this lock. At £32 I must admit I did stop to think it was too expensive for just a shed lock...how wrong I was. The lock is good quality, the mechanism is nice and crisp and solid. The locking bar moves to four positions with the forth one protruding through the strike plate which has a backing plate for extra security, the bar now protrudes at least two inches past the strike plate. Fitment was easy and the bolts excellent quality, thicker than normal so harder to pry away. Overall a very sturdy lock that is well made and secure.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Garage lock
This is a solid lock with excellent build quality. The bolt has a long throw that requires 3 full key turns to extend fully. That means awkward door sizes can be accommodated. It is a rim lock, so does not require a mortice, just a hole for the key barrel. It was bought instead of a sash lock as it is more secure and robust. It can be locked without the key from the inside, and the lock can also be immobilised with a catch on the inside. There are 3 keys, which is just enough. It was easy to fit and works well. The only negative point would be the flimsy quality and poor fit of the escutcheon. It is slightly larger than the key barrel, so there is a visible gap. It also bends easily, so does not match the quality of the rest of the lock.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Tips for fixing
You need to drill a hole about 28mm for the cylinder, use a spade bit. Fit the main lock body first, then the bolt receiver, with the bolt extended into it to line it up. I found that using 2 small pieces of card torn from the box it came in above and below the actual bolt in the receiver (4 in total) centralised the receiver best, then remove them when the reciever is screwed in. I used a 10mm open-ended spanner to do up the screws that came with it, much better than a flat bladed screwdriver. Hope this helps someone. Good Heavy Duty Shed Lock
We (my helpful DIY man) fitted the lock to the double doors on my new shed. To get the fit right, he ended up making a hole in the wood on the inside of one door to receive the bolt, but actually that makes it more secure.
