Heater fan rheostat A-Class
A genuine Mercedes replacement for the heater fan controller on Mercedes A-Class W169. It continues on from where the old one refused to co-operate any longer. Full control and operation of the fan has been restored and I have no reason at this juncture to believe that it won't continue to do so. I have added a quantity of WD40 to the assembly in the hope of staving off further problems of this type in the future. I didn't replace the socket which may probably also be viewed as a potential future threat, but the old one has been WD40ed in an effort to keep it operational.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worked, but died after a month
This is a genuine Mercedes new product and after installation it worked flawlessly. Now a bit more after a month later it died suddenly. Fixed A-Class blower fan

Produce fine but need more bits
The old unit was corroded and blew. You need to replace the female holder which the resistor connects to as well as that will be corroded as well and short out. I've not found where to buy these yet. Wiring loom repair kit required.

Blower only work on 5
If your blower only works when turned to position 5 or 6 then this item has failed. Very common on lots of cars. On Merc A class W169. Very easy to swop if you have 2 hands a brain and a T20 torx screwdriver. Unscrew plastic panel under drivers side dash, pull carpet away from centre console on drivers side. See the loom, press clip on resistor and pull out. Swop over to new one. Insert back in hole, carpet back. Panel back. Job done. 10 mins .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
