I like this torch. It fits the hand comfortably, fits easily into a pocket and the sub-rectangular cross sectional shape means that it could not roll off a sloping surface. It is designed to use 2 AA 1.5 volt batteries. I prefer to use 1.2 volt rechargeable batteries for reasons of economy and environmental considerations and it performs well with these in my opinion. The high and low light settings are well-chosen. The low setting of 45 lumens is perfectly adequate for indoor use and allows a long run-time between battery recharges whilst the high setting of 300 lumens should be enough for anybody. It looks to be well protected against a fall. The only potential weak point would seem to be the grips which appear to be made of plastic. Could these sustain damage from severe impact? Since the casing is in 3 modules that are screwed together in theory any damaged part could be replaced if spare parts are available for purchase, not sure if they are or are not. In short I think this is a very well designed torch that should last a long time even with rough use.Read full review

A perfect tool for any tradesman especially with its hanging clip and freestanding base The light is pretty decent in tight airing cupboards and is a much more efficient alternative to extension leads and plug in lights. Couldn’t recommend enough. Paired with the little energiser torch, you are on a winner for sure
