Exactly what I was looking for
I had already seen some of the show online, but I wanted to watch it on the tv and have it on my shelf. As far as the actual show goes love it. I adore Death Note as a whole and love the 2015 drama as an addition. That being said, I wouldn't say it's a great show. It is a very 2015 drama so expect 2015 video and graphic, more dramatic than it needs to be (it is Death Note after all), and an adaption that takes liberties with the story. I did really enjoy watching it and had a ton of fun. As for the DVD, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. This is the first thing I have ever bought from eBay and couldn't find the product elsewhere. It came in 3 disks that didn't seem to skip and played on my Playstation 4. There were different language and subtitle options, I was able to watch in Japanese with English subtitles. And it came by mail VERY quickly. My order was confirmed on March 19th and it was delivered on March 22nd. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Death Note Live Action Drama (Japanese)
I absolutely loved this take on Death Note. First of all the main actors were amazing choices and very likeable. Some do not like that L is more animated and shows more emotion, but I really appreciated the small changes that made this drama its own story. Its a great story and in this version both main characters (Light and L) are much more human and raw. It's a lot more emotional than the Japanese films, and is laced with some angst. The great thing about this drama is it was unique but doesn't stray too far from the original story. But in this retelling you don't know who is going to "win" until the very end, it keeps you on edge, and you can really connect with both the main characters more than ever before. As with any telling of Death Note, its tragic, and will keep you on your toes until the very end. I think this is now my favorite take on Death Note in live action form. Of course the Japanese films were great, but this drama was perfect in its choice of actors, its tweaks in the story, and its ability to make you wonder who will prevail in the end. I highly recommend it to any Death Note fan, but don't go into it expecting it to follow the manga or anime closely!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
