I've dined at Prashad numerous times and it's always been exceptional. The book gives some insight [but not all, - obviously for IP purposes] and the recipes generally end-up tasting pretty-much like they do at the restaurant. However, if you're thinking of purchasing Prashad books be wary of the covers shown on the websites as I purchased two copies of the same book by mistake due to two different covers being displayed by the two different websites. Check the ISBN number [if given] to cover your backside.

I love to cook indian food, and in particular vegetarian Indian food, so I couldn't resist buying this, first for my daughter-in-law and then for myself. A great range of recipes, from street food to sweets, all of them (so far) delicious, and easy for the home cook to make. It would definitely help to have a good indian grocery within reach, as I found that the ingredients in some of the more intriguing recipes are not readily available from the local supermarket. Prashad absolutely deserves its place on my book shelf alongside Madhur Jaffrey and Jack Santa Maria. Thanks, Kaushy Patel!
Absolutely marvellous! My favourite cookbook for the past 20 years is Madhur Jaffery Indian Vegetarian Cooking - all I can say is that this book is "neck and neck" with that!!!! If you love authentic Indian cooking buy this book!!
