Does what it promises to do.
This is a very substantial item - not light and flimsy. The directions would be easier to follow if the print on the leaflet was just a little bigger. The battery compartment is quite difficult to open if you have smaller hands but once you manage to get everything sorted the can opener works perfectly and you are left with a can that does not have a sharp edge and a lid that is equally neat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best one I've tried
I first bought a cheaper version and it pretty much struggled to open any tin as it only used 2 AA batteries. So I looked and found this one. Worth every penny, much more efficient and effortless to open tins and doesn't leave harsh edges due to the angled cutting blade and 4 x AA batteries. Definitely worth it for me.
This opener, amazingly, takes the lid off without leaving a sharp edge on the tin or the lid - that's a major plus for those with small children and shaky OAPs. The only down side is, it's quite a noisy little beast in operation! It feels quite sturdy and less likely to fall apart like some of the cheaper ones.
