Poorly engineered product
Numerous problems with quality of materials, quality of engineering, choice of fixings and lack of durability. I was prepared to buy 3 of these arches until I assembled the first. I have spent many hours fixing basic alignment problems, re-fixing and glueing the lattice slats that fell off due to poor staples and modifying the wood inserts that pulled out of the very low grade end grain timber. As with many of these type of 'cheaper' products the fixings are basic steel that will rust and stain the structure. I replaced all with stainless steel equivalents. Many of the fixings were wildly over length and using the supplied Allen key would take ages to insert just one. It looks elegant enough and for a little attention to grade of timber and fixings it could be a good product but I would not recommend it based on my experience.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very soft wood, no strength
I assumed this being a Gardman product it would be durable and good value, for me this is not the case, the wood is very soft and there is no weight behind it, I maybe wrong but I cannot see this arch lasting, first windy day and that will be that - very disappointed. Lightweight and fragile
This pergola looked nice in the pictures but I was disappointed when I received it. Very light and fragile wood. I guess you get what you pay for although I thought my £50 would get me something a little more durable than this. looks good in the picture - falls apart in life
nut/bolts pull the framework apart when tightened, splitting in some cases better off with pilot holes for wood screws not difficult to fix, but not exactly what you want to do when you've spent around 50 quidVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
