High quality cooling mat
I'd been searching for awhile, reading tests and asking about other owners experiences before deciding on this mat. My cavalier has syringomyelia and lots of SM dogs gets relief from these mats. She also has problems with muscle atrophy following spinal surgery, which makes her hips prone to pressure sores if the surface is too hard. So I needed a thick mat with good padding, and lots of the mats on the market seemed thin and hard to lie on. This mat is thick with good padding, brilliant for any dog with joint issues or for seniors in general. The mat doesn't sweat and can be used in your bed, furniture, in the crate, car or wherever you choose to use it. It stays cool for 2-3 hours with the dog on it and quickly cools back down when the dog walks away, no need to refrigerate! I even borrow it my self at times ;) No negatives so far. Been using it for a month :) Just make sure to not leave puppies or chewers unattended with the mat as ingesting the gel could be harmful (even the gel in the "non-toxic" mats). Contact your vet immediately if the dog were to ingest the gel or if you suspect it might have ingested it. Remove damaged mats right away.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
