    Great Value for the money

My needs were specific -- Netflix and YouTube. It does that in spades. The WiFi works flawlessly. The overall connection is a breeze. You'll be able to use it within minutes, right out of the box. I looked at the entire menu system and there's lots of features -- there should be, and that's good. But you don't need to do anything but bond it to your WiFi system to get results. Very inexpensive yet very impressive.

  • Most critical review

You get what you pay for. Not bad for the money but it's time consuming trying to find anything decent to watch.

All of these streaming boxes are about the same. Sometimes you get lucky and you can find a program with decent quality that you like but most of the time you spend too much time trying to find a channel that will actually work. I guess for the price it's not bad but don't expect to be able to watch what ever you want.

  • Must have knowledge and patience with computers

I've read a lot of reviews from people that hate this device, and of course those that love it. We've had this now for about 3weeks and still learning how to navigate it. We have downgraded our direct tv, saving us $70/mo. So far, and will completely cut the cord when we figure out how to get live local channels, whether it be through an antenna or through Kodi. The biggest thing we have learned is that you need a lot of patience when setting this up, and when trying to watch live TV. Its definitely not as easy as turning on your cable box and watching. Sometimes you have to try many different apps and feeds to find one that isn't buffering all the time. The picture isn't always HD or real clear either, but we just remind ourselves...ITS FREE! So the best advice I can give is, if you don't know anything about computers, like downloading apps and unzipping files, or if you don't have a lot of patience, this probably isn't for you. We are not real saavy with all of that however, and we have made great progress on getting it set the way we want it. It has taken a lot of patience though! We have had to factory reset numerous times, which is extremely frustrating as you lose everything you've done, but through trial and error, we are learning! We paid $49.94 for the box, and its already saved us $70, so its paid for itself! With little effort, we are able to watch movies, any TV show you can think of, and best if all football live! Including the red zone! We are planning on buying another box for our other TV because even though its easy to move from one TV to another, you lose your time and location settings when unplugging. So to recap, I highly recommend this if you have patience to learn this! There are a ton of YouTube videos to help with just about every question you could have. Like I said, we have played with it for about 3 weeks and still not quite ready to cut the cord, but have no doubt that day is coming soon! Give it a try! Even if you can't master it, what you do get fairly easily, should definately cut your cable cost and pay for itself!

  • The streamer I was looking for.

Ordered and received this in just a few days. Did a quick hook up and TV viewing is great again. I use to stream a lot of you tube videos that I subscribe to. The price was reasonable and connection easy.

  • Gilmore Girls On Nerflix

Got this device to get Netflix. And of course the GG. It routinely freezes up and drops the WiFi. All other devices work perfectly but at least I stay in shape getting up to unplug this thing over and over and over and over and over, etc etc etc adnauseum. It would be a pleasure to watch a flick all the way thru without having to reset the box every so often, but hey, what fun would that be. Returning this third world POS will be more trouble than it's worth. I'll look for something that's actually reliable. Oh yeah, I highly recommend this as an exercise product. But find something else to stream your Netflix. Now I gotta go rest up for the next I dare use this pile of sh... Good night and good luck.

  • Pro smrt tv box

Its a nice box let you stream all kinds of s*** ... The only thing is you have to learn how to use it first... Great buy and a plus on the keyboard

  • Sounds like a dream

The description of the box was great. The remote control The The blue tooth keyboard. The fully loaded. The Wi-Fi network readiness. The delivery was very fast. Then the disappointment became the scream of a nightmare. The box did not start up as fast as the instructions read and made me believe. The remote control did not power the box off or on or control anything on the home screen. The major problem is the Wi-Fi does not work. The WI-FI does not turn on on the box no way no how. I used the Ethernet cable to get online. The box sucked down 750GB of data in five days. That is why the wi-fi needs to work. So now the box is unplugged. So I was verbally over the phone promised an RMA and a full refund from the company on eBay that I bought this mistake from. I have not received anything. No courtesy call or email. I bought two of these boxes both have exactly the same problems. That sounds like factory defect. So what do I do? Buyer beware. I have box two stars. One star for it being fully loaded. And one for the blue tooth keyboard working. Just disappointed. .

  • I think that this box is working correctly, but such a pain to understand!

To set it up and get a limited functionality, I must watch hours of You Tube. Then it seems that there are multiple versions of S905X boxes, since there are You Tube instructions that don't seem to apply. I am able to watch free movies with the box, but there is so much more that I can't figure out how to make it work. Someone should write a user manual that is complete and understandable. I'm totally frustrated trying to figure it out.

  • Great

Only problem I encountered was that you should't use the remote and the keyboard at the same time, it will shut down . Keyboard needs a power button. Great device and the keyboard is more than a welcome addition. May take awhile for apps to update, be patient.

  • Pro S905X

outta the box is exciting, however it seems to need a Ethernet wire because the wifi gets interruptions often and hangs up the video and then audio. having to restart the app gives you repeated commercials after so many resets. other than that its working as described and I am impressed with the overall performance.
