It was at age six when Betty Makoni's life tragically fell apart. She fell victim to rape while a child vendor. At age nine, her mother died in domestic violence, forcing her to be a mother instead of a daughter. She was not fully aware society makes millions of similar victims daily. She told herself one day she would break silence and inspire millions across the globe to do the same. She took a self-empowerment journey to be an activist, an empowered wife and mother, a global champion of girls, who is everywhere and for everyone. After graduating from the university, she went to teach in a school in the same neighborhood that made her a victim of patriarchy. She later realized that the situation had not changed. She did not watch and cry over it. She took action and worked to stop the menace. Today, she is a global leader of an activist development organization called Girl Child Network Worldwide, which grew from ten girl students from her class to millions of girls worldwide, making it one of the biggest global movements for girls ever coming from a school project in a poor village in Africa. She moved from her small village to the global village and then made sure the whole world joined her effort. This book takes the reader through a more refined personal empowerment process through inspirational magical expressions and words, idioms, and symbolism that dig deeper into personal issues that not many women and girls in Africa dare to speak about.
