CATCH THIS TRAIN FOR ALABAM'
IF YOU LOVE THE VAUDEVILLE PERIOD IN AMERICAN MUSICAL HISTORY LIKE WE DO HERE AT OUR HOUSE, YOU WILL LOVE THIS. IT TOOK A LOT OF COURAGE FOR ETHEL MERMAN AND MITZI GAYNOR (BOTH GREAT IN THEIR OWN RIGHT) TO SHOW UP ON THE SAME SET WITH MARILYN MONROE WHO JUST BLOWS AWAY ALL COMERS. SONGS IRVING BERLIN WROTE FOR THE SHOW ARE CLASSICS NOW, BUT HE MISSED THE BOAT IN WHAT HE WROTE FOR MONROE. SHE BECAME A CLASSIC, BUT THE SONGS HE WROTE FOR HER DIDN'T.
