Fabulous in several ways
The original diary of Edith Holden is itself a jewel: her ability to offer and articulate the nature scenes she witnesses in prose and poetry --and to illustrate them. But add to it that the film-makers, in telling her story, not only do so engagingly, but filmed in the very places in England and Scotland where Holden was: bringing the entire experience to us, in vivid colors, tender reviews, true to her life. Also, there are 12 episodes, each 1.2 hr long --for each month of the year. saw the film via our library and loved it enough to buy two copies.
