Not enough new material to justify purchase.... Buy The Lost Joy of Railways instead
A single line of small text on the last page of the book acknowledges that some of the material was published in 'The Lost Joy of Railways ' 2009 . It would be more accurate to state that MOST of the photos and large sections of text are taken straight out of the earlier publication. The introductory pages are new but the following format and content are annoyingly close to the 'Lost Joy ' book. In order to avoid misrepresentation the cover should clearly admit the similarity. The 'Lost Joy' book IS good value.......but where is the section on the Spotters of TAMWORTH field ??Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
