A visually stunning sci-fi adventure from a bygone time in the future!
The visual quality is stunning. I watched it when it was first broadcast and it never looked as good as this. The visual detail compares with high quality modern films. The only slight issues are that the opening credits have not been cleaned up but have black flecks visible and the sound doesn't sound like it's stereo (same mono sound track in each channel I think) but has been cleaned up. The 'Special Features' do not include and behind-the-scenes footage or cast interviews, which I found disappointing. In series one the special features are only in standard definition, whereas in series two the syndicated 2-part version of 'Journey to Oasis' is in high definition. The only other thing I was disappointed with was the fact that the theatrical version of 'Awakening' was not in high definition. Personally I consider the theatrical version to be far superior to the syndicated version because of the opening sequence and it has scenes that were cut from the syndicated version. Personally, I think that series one should have opened with the theatrical version of 'Awakening' in high definition with the titles separately as a bonus feature and the syndicated two-part version and titles as 'extras' rather than the other way round as has been done. This, to my mind, would have made this set a 'must have' for any Buck Rogers fan.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
