About what I expected
I don't care all *that* much about ROI. I mean, just buy gold at the right price and you'll get 100% ROI.
Not big on deconstructed and reconstructed material for purposes of making it easy to pan, product consistency, or whatever. For me, the idea is to have an experience as close as possible to a shovel-load of material from a real creek placer -- but maybe minus 2"+ rocks.
This had a some black sands in it. I would have preferred more. Has some pretty coarse gravels in it that are not very or not at all river-smoothed. And it had a surprising amount of 2"+ rocks -- would be nice to have classified those out because it's a lot of extra, uninteresting, heavy mass. And these big gravels looked like they were from a quary, all fractured and not worn at all.
There wasn't any gold you would exactly call a picker, which is fine. I actually enjoy separating really fine flower gold, but there wasn't any of that either. There is some small gold, but not super small -- maybe one spec in that range.
The gold all seems added to me, because it's surprisingly coarse. If it doesn't any time moving in water, it didn't move far.
Worse ways to spend an hour or so trapped at home. This is 4 pounds:
