I have a 80gB iPod containing my complete collection of music but wanted a smaller version to put selected songs on. The nano is perfect for me. I have it maxed out at about 2400 songs, no video and no podcasts. It fits nicely in my hand and the audio quality is on par with it's bigger brother. I did not realize until it arrived that there is also a built-in FM radio receiver which brings in stations from over 70 miles away easily. I get about 25 hours of listening between charges.

This is one of the best iPod's from Apple. The size is just perfect. I love that it has Bluetooth. I my case with this one, the audio jack did not work, so I had to use bluetooth. This however did not change the great experience using this device.

Fantastic little iPod!!! The Sate color is very nice in comparison to Space Gray. iPod looks and feels great. The interface is intuitive and easy to use. Music sounds fantastic for what this is, both over wired and wireless connection. Obviously the DAC doesn't compare to a Wolfson, but this was bought to be a cheap throw in the pocket music player. Portability is first rate. Battery life is superb.

I used it for exercise and I always enjoyed the small size, light weight, the radio it has and the easy way to use with my music. Love it.

I use it primarily to listen to audio books. Works great for that as I can easily move around where I want to be in any chapter -- not just be at the beginning. Also like programmable alarm/sleep feature.

This is exactly what I needed. I had recently ordered an iPod from a different place and the battery died after 3 hours . This iPod is great and the new battery and new screen makes just as if it was new !! Thanks!!

Apple really got it right with the Gen 7 Nano! This is actually my 2nd one. I received a purple one as a gift in 2015. Love, love, LOVE it!! Really love the radio function. Like that better than being able to download a bunch of apps. Easy to use, sound is great. Would like WiFi, but not a deal breaker. Unit is Bluetooth enabled, so you can pair it with wireless headphones, a TV, your car's audio system (if so equipped) & auxiliary speakers. In my case, I have a Vizio sound bar connected to my TV. I pair my Nano with that and get Hi def stereo quality sound without having to purchase a stand alone sound system. Way too cool! The only complaint (if you can call it a complaint) is that Apple changed the purple tone on this generation vs older Nanos. My 2 prior Nanos (Gen 2 & Gen 4)were purple that was a rich, deep Royal purple color. This one is more of a metallic pinkish lavender, just on the back plate, which is very pretty. The front of the Gen 7 is white...would like to see the purple continued on the front. Having said all that, my first Gen 7 in purple was stolen. I wanted to replace it with the exact same model as I did not want the person who gifted me the iPod to know it was stolen. Originally tried to purchase new one from Apple, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc, but no one had them in stock. Now, Apple does not even offer this generation in purple. Have spoken to several support reps at Apple. No one seems to know why. As a result, I was forced to buy a used or refurbished unit, so I came to eBay. Unit I bought is in perfect cosmetic condition. It does have engraving on the back, but a $2 silicone skin purchased on Amazon takes care of that issue quite nicely. My only genuine concern is the battery seems to drain faster than the one I had for almost 2 years. I think that is more an issue of the prior owner not conditioning the battery correctly. I used to have a Generation 1 iPod touch that I could download games && apps before I purchased my first tablet. My entire music library is in iTunes, which is not easy to convert to Android to play on my tablet or smartphone. I just wanted a no frills, good quality MP3 player that I could access my extensive iTunes library on. This is perfect for that. If I want to ay a game, take a picture, surf the web, etc, I can use my tablet or smartphone. For music playback, you just can't beat the Nano. All in all, I am thrilled at the performance and cosmetic appearance f my used iPod for just over half the price of a new Nano that isn't even available in purple any longer.Read full review

I had an Apple iPod previous generation and was very dissapointed, had it for only 2 years before the battery failed and would no longer charge. Based on terrible reviews for the Apple iPod nano, I tried to purchase an Apple iPod classic, which is rated much better in terms of performance and a longer battery life. Because the Apple iPod classic was discontinued sometime ago but is considered superior to the iPod nano 7th, the demand for the USED iPod classic model has skyrocketed, and so has its price. I was unable to purchase the classic model and consequently opted for the nano 7th generation, which I received today. I don't expect much from it in the way of being much different from my previous nano iPod, and only hope it will last me at least 2 years. Given a choice between the classic model and the nano, I would have much preferred to purchase even a USED one of the former. Apple abandent a good product preferred by all when it discontinued the iPod classic! The present iPod nano 7th generation cannot compare and has a bad reputation, but what else is available!Read full review
At first, I LOVED this little thing. It's extremely light weight, has Bluetooth, and can allow me to get my full exercise in without having the urge to text a friend back. I reckon I can deal with the so-so 16GB storage, but the battery life is awful. And when I say awful, I'm saying it's downright unreal... I almost have to charge it in between workouts! Oh and if you enjoy radio, forget it! I've gotten to the point where I've hardly bothered taking it with me at all. The Apple website says that it can hold up to 30 hours; I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out where they even got close to that number at.
