Midland Walkie Talkie
The product is said to have great distances that is based on unrealistic expectations and promoted by Midland. Putting that aside it has good communication for certain closer conditions that is a real help. I used them from vehicle to vehicle while moving to tell when we needed to stop for gas, food, or just to stretch our legs. I used them to communicate with the worker on my roof. I also used them to communicate when I bought a motorcycle and had run down to reserve. We got separated and couldn't see one another but was able to communicate the stop made. I also used them in a Walmart to tell my wife that I was ready to leave and would meet her at the exit. I'm sure there are many other ways to use them in other situations such as boating or hunting even from airplane to ground or another airplane. Some models have weather channels if your on a hike. Old people who are bed ridden could call for help to one outside the home. You can buy a head set that will make them hands free and good from one motorcycle to another or even a group for they will communicate to others on the same channel. This is my first purchase of 2-way radios. The good thing about eBay is you can comparison shop items from different sellers and get descriptions of the items you are looking for. I looked for several days at these radios on eBay. I believe I got just what I was looking for with the features on these Midland 2-way radios, so I bought (2) of these items. The instructions are clearly written and easy to follow. The sound quality when talking is amazing! I can't wait to take these outdoors. They should be able to withstand some moisture, but not immersion. Should have good range depending on topography. Rechargeable batteries too, nice. Comes with a desktop charger for both units. Light..easy to use...child proof.
They work fine and the distance is good on level ground. I use them to keep in touch with my daughter when she is out playing. I have found they do not charge very well. I believe it might be the batteries. They are easy to use and I have 22 channels to use. The clip on the WT's are great. They hold as my daughter plays...in all great product. Good for the money
