Great product but installation takes a little time
If you are handy and have changed a set of wheel bearings in a car previously, you should be able to handle this project. My washer had to be almost completely disassembled in order to replace the bearings, but it's worth it given a new, comparable washer is $1,100 or more these days. I spent one day disassembling the washer and replacing the bearings. Then spent the next day putting it back together. There a several videos on YouTube which take you through the process, and I suggest taking photos of things before you start to take stuff apart. There is nothing very difficult about the disassembly and reassembly process and there are no special tools required for the job, but, depending on your machine, it could take a bit of time. On the bright side, this project will also allow you the opportunity to thoroughly clean your front load washing machine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great bearing set (Nachi) and nice seal
While I am unsure what our Samsung FL washer came with from the factory (the bearings were too corroded and busted to see the markings) — THIS (Nachi) set is likely what it came with as it has a metal ‘dust cover’ rather than the cheaper set “out there” that has a plastic cover. From my perspective, I will pay a bit more for something that is made in japan and looks close to what came from the factory on this machine. I really do not desire to do this job again; and the new bearing set with the new seal (pictured) made this machine run at a MUCH more reasonable sound level.

It's a big job to replace this. Don't crush the gasket when you put the 2 outer tub halves together, either! Glad that the parts are of such high quality.
