Best item in the installation
This is a high quality appendage to a disastrous ice making machine from Walmart Spent 2 1/2 hrs on phone getting replacement ice making unit. However, thankfully, the Culligan filter is of superb design and easy to install. The push in 1/4 in. connections work beautifully and filter changing will be a breeze. Advertising is somewhat misleading suggesting a 5 year life since the filter unit must be replaced every year - not 5 years. Note that the #3 filter unit is much more capable than the #1 filter unit - so don't go for the cheaper version.
