Dermatologist recommended, even!
I've been using this non-greasy product for my dry Wisconsin skin for several decades. It is unscented, too. My acne-prone daughter also uses it, including on her face. I have gifted it to friends who complain of dry skin and they, too, are pleased. I first heard of it in a lecture by a dermatologist -- it's NOT advertised, keeping the cost down. Works very well for dry skin problems
First heard about this stuff years ago from an older woman with an itching skin problem. Although a generalized itch can occur with more serious issues such as gall bladder obstruction, diabetes or even lymphoma, in this case it was just dry skin, and her dermatologist had recommended Lac-Hydrin, which took away her itch. Recently ordered this for an elderly health-care client with dry flaky scalp, and dry flaky style psoriasis behind the ears. Scalp looks normal now, and almost normal behind the ears.
