I used this stapler to upholster a small stool which is part of a dressing table set. The fabric I used was a good quality gingham over quite a thick velour. The staples mostly had no problem going into the old fabric and padding. with only the odd one going in poorly. I did try to staple into the hardwood seat below the padding but the gun/staples aren't powerful enough enough. All in all, it's a handy little stapler for less tough surfaces and well worth the money. There could be more free staples in the pack though!

I got this for a small upholstery job which should have taken no more than 30 minutes. In reality the first staple was the only one that went in, even swopping to other u shaped staples didn't help, it wouldn't even take the nails. I spent hours trying and trying and got no where. It's so hard to use as well not like others I have used. I then discovered it had eaten most of the staples and was blocked. Managed to clear it, then looked at other reviews from the internet which clearly state AVOID AT ALL COSTS, IF YOU CAN GET ONE IN IN THREE YOU ARE LUCKY, YOU SPEND MORE TIME TAKING OUT BENT ONES THAN PUTTING THEM IN. Said it all really read reviews before you buy. Just don't do it, waste of time, effort and money

I used this to reupholster a dressing table stool, having a recent refurb the stool was too low, so I bought foam and material to boost the height. Very easy to use, ideal for the job and the enclosed staples strong and good size. A very useful item for the tool box.

If you want a staple gun that will hit into thin wood, its fine, i was trying to use it to staple shed felt to the shed, it goes through the felt but doesn't have enough power to get into the wood. I also tried this with my sofa, as i changed the lining and but again, staples go half in and stop. the Product itself is a good design, and does the job for basic stuff, but lacks Real Power

Brought this staple gun and had trouble from the very start, the staples get stuck at the end and are very difficult to remove, also a lot of the time the staples won't fire so you have to remove the staples from the gun then 're load it, and when you do eventually get it to work it does not fire the staples fully into the material so make sure you have a small pin hammer ready to knock the staples
