Huge improvement over factory
I bought one of these to fit the SR22 that I will use to train new shooters. The SR22 is a great little gun for that purpose but I found myself struggling with the sight picture. This fiber optic sight stands out great and will help shooters focus in the front sight (as they should.)Quality is excellent as it is with all HiViz sights. The sight installed easily (tap out the old, slide in the new) within minutes. My only gripe is that the tiny Allen wrench needed to tighten the sight down is not included. Sights are not great on the Full size Ruger SR22.
I have these same sights on my compact Walther P22 and like them. But on the full size Ruger SR22 they are not great. They do install easily however. I went back to the stock Ruger sights.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wonderful Upgrade
I love the fiber optic front sight of my Springfiled XD9 so I had to swap out the OEM front sight of my Ruger SR22 with a HiViz. I knocked out the OEM sight with a small punch without much trouble. Setting the new HiViz was another matter. These fit very tight. I would highly recommend using a sight pusher on the new install to avoid marring your gun or the new sight. Once installed, I had to position the HiViz front sight far to the left and the OEM rear sight far right to get zeroed. Looks good and it is a vast improvement in sight acquisition.

Actually, it wasn't "better than expected" but it wasn't "awesome sauce" or just "okay" either. Weird choices to pick from. Anyway, I like it very much, would probably buy another. Awesome enhancement
I'm very, very impressed with this sight. My Ruger SR22's original sights were already pretty good, but these sights bumped things up a notch. The sight was super easy to install. I knocked out the original sights with a punch, as per some instructions I found on Youtube. The Hi-Viz sight slid right in...it wasn't tight and difficult to install as I had read in some reviews. Maybe it was just my sight? Or maybe the manufacturer of the Hi-Viz sights have fine tuned the width of this sight? Who knows? Anyway, I simply locked the new sight in place via it's setscrews. The one drawback is that you'll need to purchase your own .060" hex key to tighten the setscrews (there are two of them). I took the pistol to the range the other day expecting I would have to adjust the sights. To my surprise, they were dead-on. The bright red (orange?) sight sure made aiming easy. SR22 Hiviz front sight
For the money it’s excellent. Very good in bright light but dims in low light. I knew this when I purchased it but this weapon will be used primarily for training purposes at a well lit range.
