Superb, intelligent science fiction from a Chinese perspective, brilliantly translated.
Cixin Liu writes compelling science fiction, the characters are believable, the scenarios are vivid and well thought out, and the complexity is immense. I am about 25% of the way through the series, and am finding it fascinating. The translation is superb, and it feels as though the translator fully understands the Chinese background, and can present it in excellent English. Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine science fiction in a realistic context. Cixin Liu is clearly well versed in modern cutting edge science, and is not afraid to look beyond it.
