Great but somewhat crippled
I have the PL1 and the PL7 and I dearly love them, especially the 7. The PL9 shoots the same beautiful images, is light and versatile , etc. so I love it, too. Plus it is downright beautiful to look at! BUT I cannot give it 5 stars because Olympus for some totally bananas reason chose to eliminate some features that I will miss dearly. Foremost, they got rid of MySets. I loved that feature and I loved tying it to an unused position on the mode dial. All gone now. Secondly, with the 9 you can only reprogram two buttons. So if I'm shooting MF I can set one to magnify, and one to peaking. That leaves NO button for starting a video recording since that's one of the buttons that gets reprogrammed! Realizing that was a very big WTH moment. Those things aside, it is a wonderful and beautiful camera.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

I ordered this refurbished Olympus E-PL9 after reading reviews of refurbished Olympus Cameras. I’ve only turned on to try it out. It looks new and appears to function as it should. Small and does it all
I have some "big" cameras and was looking for something small and light. This little Olympus fills the bill. i will do an amazing number of things easily - far more than most DSLRs - and you can put it in your pocket. I've taken about 100 pictures and tried quite a few of the modes, P/A/S and some auto and filters. So far as I can tell, this product should be considered 'as new'.
